Memorial Day Weekend

What a glorious weekend! The weather was perfection.

On Saturday, we did chores around the house (not a lot of fun, but necessary).

On Sunday, we went to a BBQ at Mommy and Daddy's friends' house. I met people who were more than willing to hold me and let Mommy and Daddy enjoy themselves (thanks especially to Kelly!). I also met a little girl named Anna who is 7 years old. She loves little babies and was my friend for the day---she drove me around in a buggy and gave me lots of hugs! It was fun. Later, as we were going home, Mommy veered off course to make a quick stop at cousin Cara's house. Despite being tired, I got a second wind and enjoyed more people and babies, including my little cousin Ryan. We played on a blanket with our mommies and ate veggie puffs. Then I came home to go "night night."

And on Monday, Mommy and I got up early to pay our respects to a few war heroes that are close to our hearts. We visited my "Gampa's" brother (Uncle Bobby) who was killed in action during the Vietnam War, and also my grandpa ("Pop") who served in the Navy and was even on one of the warships that was sitting outside of Cuba during the Cuban Missle Crisis. We also gave our thoughts to Greatgrandpa L. who "stormed the beaches of Normandy" on D-Day. (We are very proud of them and all of the people who have served our country.) Afterwards, Mommy and I went to the town's parade where we bumped into Gram D. Then back home for a quick nap before more chores for Mommy and Daddy. Oh, well; it can't all be fun and games.

But it was a good Memorial Day Weekend.
