Words That I Can Say *UPDATED*
It's true; I'm more like my dada when it comes to conversation than my mama, but I do talk...when I want to. :)
I still prefer pointing, sign language, body language (shrugging or head shaking), or bringing things to my parents (like my coat to indicate that I want to go outside) but Mama and Dada are now pretty adamant that I "say the words" instead. It's a little frustrating...but I'm a quick learner.
Below are some of the words that my parents have known me to say. Next to the words are the ways that I say them. If there is no "translation" then I say it exactly like the word:
Mama
Dada
No
Yes (but it sounds like the tail end of the word---"Sehhhh")
Banana
Waffle ("Bah-ful")
Milk ("mmmmmm")
Blueberries ("Boo-behh")
Bar (for my favorite breakfast bar snack)
Cheese
Ice cream
Night night ("Nigh nigh")
Up
That ("Daaahhhh!!!")
Bubble
Bath ("Ba" or I just say "Bubble" since there are bubbles in the bath)
Boat ("Bow")
Bracelet ("Bace")
Pizza ("zzaa")
Bus ("Buuh")
Truck ("Uck")
Book (minuc the "k" sound)
Open (sounds very much like "up")
And everyday, I am learning and saying more (for example, I just said bracelet today!)
