She's Here!
My new baby sister is finally here! And her name is Erin.
As you probably have noticed, I've been pretty MIA from writing my blog. That's because it's been a whirlwind as we prepared for baby and then baby all of a sudden arrived.
Although Erin wasn't officially supposed to be born until March 11, Mama woke Dada up at 5am on February 24 to tell him that she thought that she needed to go to the hospital. I woke up around 5:30am and was concerned that Mama was sick. But Mama said that she was okay, then Ma D. came over to feed me breakfast and watch cartoons with me so Mama and Dada could go out for a bit.
The next day I went up to visit Mama and my new baby! I was so excited. I really wanted to bring Mama and baby home then and there but Mama said that she had to stay in the hospital for a few more days to rest and take care of Erin.
Since then, things are pretty much back to normal. I'm getting a lot of attention (and having a lot of fun) with Ma and Pa who are visiting with us. Mama says that I am the best big sister and that I am something called "maternal." The moment the baby cries I say, "Mama, the baby needs you!" or I say to Erin, "Don't cry baby." I am not jealous at all over the baby. I just want to make sure that she is happy.
And I am happy as a big sister...officially!!
