"Stay Awake"

It's my favorite naptime song. It's from Mary Poppins; Julie Andrews sings it. Below are the words if you want to sing along (Mommy highly recommends the song because it's so soothing and beautiful.):
Stay awake
don't rest your head;
don't lie down upon your bed.
While the moon drifts in the skies
stay awake
don't close your eyes.
Though the world is fast asleep,
though your pillow's soft and deep,
you're not sleepy as you seem.
Stay awake
don't nod and dream.
Stay awake...
don't nod...
...and dream.
What a Difference a Week Makes

All of a sudden at 10 weeks I started smiling a lot, "talking" a lot, steadying my head when in a sit-up position, doing sit-ups (with help), holding toys, and paying a lot of attention and cooing when being read too! Mommy feels like it happened all of a sudden (from week 9 to week 10) but I've been "talking" and smiling for a while now. It's just that now the smiles are bigger and the talking is longer, louder, and more syllables ("ah-goo-goo" "OOOOOOOO!!" and "ah-gee-ah-geh")
Now I'm 3 months and a few days old.
The other day I lifted my head and chest all the way up and off of the ground. I am so frustrated with just laying around that if you lay me down I will try to push myself up into a sitting position by myself. Gram D says that it looks as if as soon as I learn how to walk I'm going to hit the ground running. I've got a little time before that happens, so, for now, here I am holding and playing with a toy.
