All of a Sudden, It's "Words, Words, Words!"

This week all of a sudden I am so interested in mimicing how Mama and Dada (and teachers) say things. It's like a new game, I guess. Someone will say a word to me, and then ask me to say it back. My mouth tries to form the words---some times it works right away, sometimes I need to hear the word a few more times. I also watch how the person's mouth moves.

Like, today we went to Chuck E. Cheese again. While there with our friends, we got some pizza. (I love pizza, by the way.) Mama was cutting it up and said, "Do you want pizza. Say pizza." And I immediately responded, "Zzzzzaaa!" It's the first time I've ever said that word. And now Mama went from counting how many words I can/will say to listening to me say lots of new words daily.

I'm really liking this "talking thing." It gets me what I want a lot quicker...like bath, banana, ice cream, basement, up, etc. I'm sticking with it!

Words That I Can Say *UPDATED*

It's true; I'm more like my dada when it comes to conversation than my mama, but I do talk...when I want to. :)
I still prefer pointing, sign language, body language (shrugging or head shaking), or bringing things to my parents (like my coat to indicate that I want to go outside) but Mama and Dada are now pretty adamant that I "say the words" instead. It's a little frustrating...but I'm a quick learner.

Below are some of the words that my parents have known me to say. Next to the words are the ways that I say them. If there is no "translation" then I say it exactly like the word:

Mama
Dada
No
Yes (but it sounds like the tail end of the word---"Sehhhh")
Banana
Waffle ("Bah-ful")
Milk ("mmmmmm")
Blueberries ("Boo-behh")
Bar (for my favorite breakfast bar snack)
Cheese
Ice cream
Night night ("Nigh nigh")
Up
That ("Daaahhhh!!!")
Bubble
Bath ("Ba" or I just say "Bubble" since there are bubbles in the bath)
Boat ("Bow")
Bracelet ("Bace")
Pizza ("zzaa")
Bus ("Buuh")
Truck ("Uck")
Book (minuc the "k" sound)
Open (sounds very much like "up")

And everyday, I am learning and saying more (for example, I just said bracelet today!)

Snow Gear

So Dada and Mama got me all dressed up in my snow gear for the very first time this year (despite it already being March) in the hopes of us all getting outside and enjoying some of the snow from this past week.

But alas...we quickly learned that it was more ice than snow (I was slipping and sliding so much while Dada held my hands that I was skating, not walking, in the front yard). So, instead, we diverted to Gram D's house. Where I immediately went to the one thing that I always go to from the second that I go into Gram D's house---grandma's pretzels! Gram always gives me a handful every time I visit.
