Thank Goodness It's Friday!

Mommy has been promising to take me to this children's museum that she knows about. But she has had a lot of work this week. Well...not today (May 5)! She delivered on her promise.

From the moment we arrived, I kept wanting Mommy to pick me up to show me things. I make a noise that Daddy says sounds like a monkey, then I put my arms in the air, and I bounce on my tushy. That's when Mommy and Daddy know that I'm serious about being picked up.

Anyway, my favorite exhibits were the mirrors (all different circus mirrors) and the "Bricks and Sticks." I laughed at how many times I saw Mommy and me in the mirrors. The bricks exhibit was all about building blocks. Mommy put me on the table/mat and let me play with the blocks. The truth is that I could have stayed there the whole time.

Oh! And on the way to the museum, Mommy and I stopped at the beach really quickly to check out the waves. I love the beach!

All in all, a fun day!

My Buggy, My Buggy

I keep watching the "older" kids on my block riding around on Big Wheels and in little cars. I get so excited when they go by. So, Mommy and Daddy thought it was time that I have my own.

I like it!

Musical Moppets!

What are "Musical Moppets," you ask?

Well, it was a fun (and free) program at our local library that allows mommies and babies to sing nursery rhymes, play peekaboo with scraves, dance around, play with musical instruments (like maracas, tambourines, and drums), and just have fun. I invited some of my little friends (William and Madison) to come along.

And WOW! Did we have fun!! The ladies who ran the show called me "Happy Feet" because I just kept kicking and laughing and smiling. I'm trying to stand now so Mommy helps me to lean on her until I am ready to stand. And BOY! Did I stand for this show!

I guess I gave it a standing "O"!

My Song of the Lilac

(With apologies to Louise Imogen Guiney)

Oh, the fragrant smell.
Oh, the sound of wind blowing through them.
Oh, the feel of newborn buds.
Ick, the taste. It's just icky.
Oh, the beauty---sweet lavendar, pure white.
It's here, caught in a May breeze, that I learn why Granny loved them... so very, very much.

Go Ahead! Change My Pee Diaper...

But don't expect me to take it lying down!
