Happy Birthday to Us!

Well, I had my very 1st, 1st birthday party. My best friends and I celebrated all of our 1st birthdays all together despite the boys being born in July and Madison and I being born on August 11.

We were at Miss Lisa's and Brandon's house. They have a pool, and we all went in. I REALLY liked floating in the raft with Mama. And Brandon has trucks to walk around with so we played with them too. All of us were there for 4 hours, without any crankiness!!! We were too busy and happy to be cranky. I also got presents at the end. It was so exciting!

(That's right! The mommies all got together a few days in advance and bought us little presents. My favorite: the balloon!)

What a great 1st, 1st birthday party!

Under the Sea

Well, really, it should be titled "Under the Pool." That's right! I went underwater today (July 26) at swim class for the first time. I did it three times and only took in a little water on the third try. (And I really complained about that to Mama and my other lifeguard friend, Matt.) I wish I could get pictures to show you during my swim classes but Mama has to come into the pool with me.

Going underwater is also why my hair is so crazy in this picture---I guess it dried in all different directions on the car ride home. I have 4 more swim classes left for this summer. I really like swim class!

Fire Hydrant and Reflector

You have no idea how many times I point to these two things and want Mama or Dada to tell me their names again. I am so fascinated by them, especially the reflector.

My Cousins Play With Me

My cousins really like to play with me, and I am so happy for the attention. Here I am with my cousins, Katie and Lauren. They like to walk me in my buggy. They pretend that I am a queen and they are my worshippers. Or that I am a celebrity and they are paparazzi or my bodyguards. In the picture to the left, Katie is showing me the kitty cats running around in the front yard.

It's funny to see me surrounded by all of my cousins. My oldest first cousin is 13 years older than me; my youngest first cousin is 3 and 1/2 years older than me. I just can't wait until I can run around like them, and REALLY play!!

Hats Off!

Mama wonders if I will still wear hats in a year from now. When it comes to hats, Mama LOVES buying them for me, putting them on me, matching my outfits to the hats, taking pictures of me wearing them, etc. I try to pull them off as it is but Mama is smart and buys hats with ties and velcro.

Thwarted again!
