A New Hairstyle, A New "Boo Boo"

They are not related really (other than you can see both in these new pictures).

Mama now has to use barettes to keep my bangs from hanging in my face.

The boo boo is a result of my face meeting the floor in the mall playground on Monday (Dec 4). Oh, well! It was well worth the jump off the slide! (heh heh)

Playdate at Mickey D's

(That's a nickname for McDonald's)

They have an indoor playground there. Mama and I met up with 10 others (mommies and kids). We played a lot. But Mama and I didn't really want to eat there---Mama brought me milk and melon---that was until another mommy brought goldfish. I'm hooked on goldfish "crackers!"

Here, my new friend Kerry doles out the goldfish to my new friend, Julia, and me.

Score!

Sign Language

Early this week Mama noticed that I was using sign language. Mama had always wanted to learn and teach me signs so she was excited to see that I was doing the signs for "food", "more" and "finished."

When Mama asked my teacher if they had taught me sign language, the teacher told her that I had picked it up from another "student" at school who knows sign language. I picked it up while watching the teachers sign with Ava.

Now I sign when hungry (I signed that at the mall yesterday and to Dada last night) and when I want more of something (be it food, milk, or a certain game). I also sign that I am finished with my food (although I still sometimes drop the food on the floor too to really make my point).

I can't wait to learn even more sign language! (This graphic is the sign for "more.")

My New Obsession:

Bear in the Big Blue House.

Mama got it one day on a lark because my favorite stuffed animal is the main character ("Bear").

Well, I now point to the tv to "ask" Mama to turn on the Bear DVD. If that doesn't work, I have been known to hunt down the DVD case and push it into Mama's face and then point to the tv. And when the credits start to roll because a segment is over, I usually get upset and "ask" Mama to start it over again.

Who says that you need to talk to make your feelings known?
