Working Hard

Mommy and Daddy (but mostly Daddy) are working really hard outside these past few weekends, trying to make our yard and deck look nice.

I'm working hard too---at being a good baby for Mommy and Daddy! I stay outside right near Mommy and Daddy. I sit on the lawn on a blanket, under an umbrella, with a bunch of toys surrounding me. Mommy and Daddy take breaks to push me in my buggy up and down the block; we even go "off roading" on the lawn! Mostly I watch them, and sometimes I even clap for them (really! I know how to clap!).

But Mommy and Daddy both agree that I am already a good baby so I guess my hard work is paying off.

Oh, Vacuum. How Do I Love Thee? Let Me Count The Ways.

#1. I love loud noises. You make loud noises. Hence, I love you.

#2. Mommy is always "playing" with you. If Mommy loves you, and I love Mommy, then I must love you too.

#3. You make the kitty cats run away. I make the kitty cats run away. See!?! We have a lot in common. And that makes me love you.

#4. Mommy puts me in the high chair or in my Intellitainer toy when she needs to use you. That must mean that she does not want me to touch you. I LOVE to play with things that aren't for me---the telephone, Mommy and Daddy's glasses, seatbelts, cabinet doors, keys, etc---so if Mommy and Daddy don't want me to play with you...WOW! I love you a lot.

#5. Did I mention my love of loud noises?!?!!

A Tough Night for Teething

I just got tooth #5 and tooth #6 in the same day---June 8---and these teeth were real pains (pun intended!).

Mommy noticed that I felt warm the past few days despite the cooler, rainy weather, so she knew that it meant only one thing---another tooth was coming in. But she didn't realize that it would be TWO teeth!

This past week I woke up some many times upset over the teething that Mommy and Daddy lost count. But more teeth mean that it will be easier for eating solids so...well...it's all good, I suppose.

(Here I am in the car on my way to my friend's house. "Bear" is kept in the car ready to entertain me at a moment's notice!)
