Everyday Life
I realize that, most of the times, I only post pictures and stories about specific trips or events or special playdates.
But new things are happening every day.
For example, I am talking a lot now. Every day I learn and say a new word. I also can count to 10 (though I admit that I skip over 3 and 7 sometimes). I recognize most letters, and like to sing and act out "Old Macdonald Had a Farm" and "The Wheels on the Bus."
Of course, I still spend a lot of time with my Thomas the Tank Engine trains. I have about 30 now; and I know everyone's name. Sometimes, I say the names out loud to myself, and I count them too.
Every weekend I love to go with Dada to the "Eat Store" (or as most people call it the "Food store"). It is our special time. I especially love to eat the "red berries" that Dada picks up.
I still enjoy going to school very much. I wear a little backpack to walk into school and, as soon as I get into my classroom, I am all smiles.
So...life is good, and I enjoy it every day!
A Really Good Day, Part II
After we shopped for clothes and I rode on the little train, Mama and Dada took me to see some sharks and fish. I am fascinated with sharks because I have a shark toy. I think every big fish is a shark...or maybe a whale.
I got to see starfish (which I call "Patrick" after the cartoon Spongebob's best friend). I also saw anemones, which I know from a book that we read at night, and sea horses. I neighed when I saw the sea horses. But my biggest fascination was a grey, eel-like fish called a "lung fish." Mama and Dada couldn't understand why I kept re-visiting that fish, despite all of the other, more colorful fish displays. But I couldn't resist. I really liked him. In fact, I kept hugging his tank (see picture).
I hope to go back again soon. I want to pet the sting rays again too!

A Really Good Day
Yesterday (Saturday, Sept 1), Dada and Mama took me for a long ride starting early in the morning. We went to a place to shop for clothes. Although it is not exactly my favorite thing to do (even though some of the clothes were for me), I did get to go on a train ride.
Now, as soon as you see the pictures, I know that you will think I was miserable. But you would be wrong. See, I get VERY serious when riding trains. I am all smiles and laughter when I see the trains (and I even "Whoo whoo!" too), but the moment that I sit down in one, I am all business! Dada asked me a few times if I was okay to which I nodded. I'm just taking it all in. Mama and Dada think it is too funny because the moment that the train stops, I am all smiles again and asking and signing for MORE!!
