Good Ol' Chores and Errands

Actually, there's not much good about them! But they are necessary.

So while Mommy did work, I played with my toy piano by her feet. And when Mommy and I went to the pharmacy, I played with Mommy's coat (love zippers!). And when we went to the dry cleaners, I tried to grab the hangers. And when Mommy was doing laundry, I sat in my high chair and ate my Cheerios and drank water from my cup.

So, it wasn't an exciting day. But not every day can be trips to the zoo and aquarium, unfortunately.

Still, the weekend is coming, and that means "Daddy time!" And that means "fun time!"

Another Animal Extravaganza!

It was another nice day today (April 27) so after Mommy did work for her job, she packed up some stuff, put me in the car, and off we went!

This time we went to a nature preserve that rescues and rehabilitates animals. Those animals that are unable to return to the wild (because of injuries or because someone very selfish kept them as pets), are well cared for at the preserve for the rest of their lives. And the preserve is open to the public for FREE! (You can't beat that!)

Again, we saw lots of different animals. This time my favorites were the miniature ponies. Still, nothing can compare to a nice waterfall---and this place has three small ones that delighted me to no end.

Sorry, no new pictures. Mommy forgot the camera at home. :(

Ernie!

I don't watch Sesame Street yet but I love my Ernie doll---compliments of one of Mommy's college friends. Right now Mommy will very occassionally put on a video about learning the ABC's but Mommy says that tv and cartoons aren't for me yet...they're for Daddy.

Here's a plug from Mommy and Daddy: watch "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends" (8:30pm Cartoon Network). It's apparently very funny (I wouldn't know; I'm asleep).

Back to My Grassroots

Okay, no matter how many times Mommy plops me on the lawn and tries to convince me to touch it, I just don't like grass. It's not for me...

BUT WAIT!

There's kitty cat! Oooooohhhhh! Mommy knows that I absolutely LOVE animals! And if kitty cat likes to walk on the lawn, well...maybe it's not so bad after all.

Mommy and Me...in Black and White

It's a dreary morning today (April 24) but Mommy and I can find many things inside that keep us smiling!

Dada Days

The week I turned 8 months (April 11), I started babbling up a storm. I am very curious about speaking, and watch people's mouths very carefully. I even move my lips as I watch people talk. I can't keep up with them yet, but give me time.

I'm still very interested in learning the words of different things in this world (recent favorites include "water", "glasses", and "doggie"). And I still very much love being read to.

Here, Daddy is reading me a book that shows babies and their different emotions and related facial expressions. Interestingly, I find "sad baby" to be the most hilarious one, every single time. When I see the photo, I do my "supervillain" laugh (you'll understand why it's called that when you hear it). And that makes Daddy laugh too!

MWAHHHHAAA-HAHA!
