Ode to Kitty Cat

Oh, Kitty Cat, I adore thee. And nothing will curtail
my desire to pet and hold you (and sometimes lick your tail)

Less afraid of me, you are. And that is oh so good
because I really want to hold you (and now I really could)

Three kitty cats to watch. Three kitties to love. Three kitties to chase away.
Will you sit upon my lap? (I hope you will someday.)

Right now it is enough to squeal and marvel at your charm
For though I run and chase you, kitty, you know I mean no harm

We will be best of friends one day, I declare upon this blog
And if not, I'm sure my parents will one day adopt a dog!

(Just kidding! I love you kitty cats!)

(This is Lucy.)

All Aboard the Choo-Choo Train!

We live near a real train station, and since I always wave to the trains as they go by, Mama and Dada bought a train set for me. They set it up in the basement. I'm almost having as much fun with it as Mama and Dada are having. (I really do love all forms of transportation---big rigs, trucks, vans, boats, school buses, trains, bicycles---and say all of the words for them.)

Healthy Me

I had a doctor's visit last week. The doctor said that I was right on target for where I am supposed to be in every part of my development. I'm well over the 98th percentile for my height and in the 95th percentile for my weight. It's funny but when the doctor said that I could actually stand to gain a few pounds, my mom laughed. That's because I am a bottomless pit sometimes when it comes to favorite foods (like ravioli and avocado, both seen here). But, hey, I'm healthy... so keep it coming!
