Hey!

"Hey!" is one of my favorite phrases. It seems to make a real point.

"Hey! What are you eating?!"

"Hey! That not right!"

"Hey! I missing something!"

"Hey! You eyes are all shiny Mama" (Mama had makeup on one day)

Mama doesn't really like "Hey!" so when she catches me (and remembers) she tells me that, "Hay is for horses...and sometimes cows!"

So now when Mama says, "Hey!" I remind her with a chuckle that it's for horses.

Getting Better With Pronouns

Now I've gone from calling Erin "it" to calling Erin "he"...as in:

"He's awake!!"
"Oh! Ick! He spit up!"
"He's so cute!"

Mama reminds me that Erin is a "she" like me...at least I'm getting better.

Erin Laughs...for the First Time!

On Sunday (May 5, 2008), Erin laughed for the first time. She's 10 weeks old now. Grandma was holding her and we were all at Grandma's house when all of a sudden she let out a big chuckle. It was so cute!

(Here is Erin with her very first toy; a toy that I picked out for her right after she was born. It plays music and it makes her smile.)

My Cousins!

I love when my cousins come to visit me. I have LOTS and LOTS of cousins. They are so nice to me. They play lacrosse with me in the backyard. We ride bikes together. They watch out for me.

I love when my cousins come to play with me!

I Love Playing Pretend

One day I am a backpacking fairy princess (see photo).

The next day I am having a tea party with my baby (see picture).

And the next day I am a movie star (see picture).

Playing pretend is lots of fun!

"I Big Sister"

With everywhere I go and everyone I meet, my usual first words are, "I big sister!" I am so proud to be a big sister and show off "my baby, Erin."

Now that I am a big sister, I completely believe that I am also a big kid. If Mama says that I can't play with something because it is dangerous (like scissors), I respond, "But I big kid." When I go to the park, I search out the big kids. One day a girl who looked to be about 8 years old said, "We have to be careful. There's a baby on the see saw too." I looked around, and laughed. I didn't see a baby. I only saw that girl, another girl her age, and me. Because I am a big kid now, I responded, "I have baby! Come see, Erin!"
